For some time I knew I wanted to delve into the cinematography scene. However, I didn’t have any experience, education, etc. I turned quickly to available avenues of knowledge which included YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. Luckily there aren’t many gatekeepers but instead many artists out there more than willing to help. My dilemma became,

What kind of footage do you want to shoot?

What is your budget?

Are you willing to put in the work/time?

I ended up narrowing down my list to either the Sony α7 IV, Sony α7S III or the Sony Fx3. I had mixed feelings about all of them, some good and some bad but I eventually made a decision and went with the α7S III. There are plenty of other capable options but this is what I ended up choosing for myself.
